Emily Blunt's Chic Suit Look Features a Backless Jacket

June 2024 · 2 minute read

Emily Blunt put the most chic spin on the classic suit look for a night of engagements Thursday in New York City.

Her outfit—which the Oppenheimer star debuted during an appearance on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert—was a sleek jumpsuit made up of a backless suit jacket and flowy trousers. (It was actually the same jumpsuit Lenny Kravitz wore to the Golden Globes!) The double-breasted jacket featured a silky, plunging collar, structured shoulders, sharp cutouts on the sides of the torso, and an open back. Meanwhile, the pants featured slits at the bottom, showing off Blunt's black and gold platform sandals.

The actor further accessorized the look with gold chain-link earrings and a glossy burgundy manicure. She wore glowy, natural makeup, and her hair was styled in a messy bun.

Blunt’s suit moment comes days after she showed out at the Golden Globes. At the January 7 ceremony, the Devil Wears Prada star wore a regal golden gown with a sheer white tulle skirt, custom-made by Alexander McQueen. The fitted bodice of the dress was embellished with gold sequins in an abstract floral-like embroidery, and was followed by a gauzy, sheer skirt. Her Jimmy Choo shoes were hidden underneath the flowy, layered gown.

Blunt added even more shimmer to the glamorous ensemble with a bold gold necklace featuring a leaf motif, encrusted with tiny white diamonds, by Tiffany & Co. She also wore a large gold-and-diamond cuff and ring, and diamond stud earrings. Her glittery gold manicure matched her jewelry, and she finished the look with natural, glowy makeup, and a messy bun.
